BITCOIN EVENTS UPCOMING EVENTS

In recent months, we’ve seen unprecedented change around the world, and of course many more challenges lie ahead. It seems hard to believe that just a few weeks ago we had a healthy blockchain and cryptocurrency community gathered at the Blockchain Africa Conference 2020 at Investec’s office in Johannesburg.

The speaker, panel and highlights videos can be viewed here.

DeFi Conference 2020

Today of course, so much has changed and until the restrictions on social distancing are substantially altered, we are ramping up our virtual activity. We are very excited to announce Bitcoin Events’ first virtual event, the DeFi Conference 2020 on the 5 August 2020.

This event is a 1 day online conference with two tracks and over 25 global speakers sharing their knowledge on Decentralized Finance or DeFi with topics covering financial inclusion, open finance, adoption and regulation, connecting entrepreneurs, liquidity providers, academics, investors, economists, regulators and others who are looking to learn and network in the decentralized finance industry and explore the current opportunities and challenges in the space.

Blockchain based decentralized finance innovations can transform the global financial system and help to create a more inclusive and transparent future of finance.

The Call for Papers is now open so if you have an exciting project, platform or service in the DeFi space please submit your paper here.

Sponsorship opportunities are also available.

Crypto Fest 2020

The date for the 2nd edition of our very popular Crypto Fest is the 30 October 2020 and will once again be hosted in beautiful Cape Town, South Africa.

We are watching the global developments regarding COVID-19 closely of course, and if travel and large group gatherings are still prohibited in South Africa at that time, we will either move the event online or move the date out further.

Blockchain Africa Conference 2021

The Blockchain Africa Conference 2021 will be back for the 7th edition on 18-19 March in Johannesburg.

Of course, nothing is certain in the current situation, but we are hoping that by March 2021 some sense of normality would have returned and that gatherings of this kind will be safe to attend.

Stay safe and stay in touch!
