Before joining Skybound, Werner was Head of Business Development for Africa at Apex Group, where he worked with fund managers, investors, and corporates to democratize access to private markets and structure impactful, scalable investment platforms. He previously held senior roles at Sanne Group, BDO, and PwC, where he built a track record advising on valuations, due diligence, tax-efficient structures, and transactions across multiple African and global jurisdictions.
His expertise spans private credit, infrastructure finance, hedge funds, and development-led investment strategies, with a reputation for bringing clarity and practical insight to complex regulatory and cross-border challenges.
Renowned for his collaborative and solutions-driven approach, Werner contributes regularly to industry thought leadership and has moderated and spoken on panels on topics including private credit’s role in African economic development, emerging market investment trends, and the evolution of alternative asset strategies.
