Dr. Allan Davids
Director of the Financial Innovation Hub in the School of Economics at the University of Cape TownDr. Allan Davids is the Director of the Financial Innovation Hub in the School of Economics at the University of Cape Town.
Allan also convenes UCT’s Master’s Degree in Financial Technology, the leading FinTech Master’s Degree in Africa. At UCT, he teaches courses on housing policy, financial technology, and econometrics.
Allan has been a visiting academic at several leading universities, including New York University, the University of Oxford, and Imperial College London. He has previously held the South African Reserve Bank Research Chair in Financial Stability Studies and is also a research fellow at the Centre for Household Finance at Stellenbosch University.
