Athena Yu is Executive Director of Binance charity foundation which dedicated to using blockchain for transparent philanthropy and financial inclusion.

Concurrently she is also Co-Founder of the Made in Africa Initiative which is a professional NGO supported by UNDP that advises African government on industrialization.

She has deep expertise in international development strategy, philanthropy, public and private investment strategy in emerging markets, and operational experience in 10 Sub-Saharan Africa countries.

Athena has accumulated abundant experiences in bridging investment from developing countries with various financing vehicles. Over the past years, she has successfully facilitated several infrastructures and industrial investment projects in Africa with multi-billion USD.

Prior to joining BCF, Athena has worked in a global leading consulting firm and has been in charge of Marketing and overseas investment in a Chinese leading state-owned infrastructure corporation. She holds MSc from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
