Harry represents a rare blend of ambition, vision, interpersonal skills and strong judgement, which has led to the profound impact he has made on shaping his company as well as the financial space in South Africa. With accomplishments that speak volumes about his abilities, Harry has always stood out for his sharp intellect, strategic thinking and visionary leadership. It’s no wonder that the 70+ employees at Future Forex have immense confidence and trust in the direction that he is taking the company.  With a Bachelor of Business Science in Actuarial Science from the University of Cape Town and qualifying as a Fellow of the Actuarial Society of South Africa in 2019, Harry’s professional accomplishments have been a testament to his commitment to excellence.
Having realised that he wanted to make a strong impact in the business world rather than continue in a purely actuarial role, Harry’s trajectory shifted significantly upon his appointment as a Business Development Director in an international logistics company in January 2020.
Here, he drove business development initiatives and excelled in fostering strong client relationships and service delivery. His leadership extended far beyond mere oversight, encompassing the facilitation of seamless communication with clients and managing a team internally to ensure that clients’ needs were met and often exceeded.
Harry co-founded Future Forex with his business partner (Joshua Kotlowitz) in 2020, building the company from the ground up. As Future Forex’s CEO, Harry excels at quick decision-making, high-level strategy, fostering business relationships with the company’s partners and maximising the potential of those around him, all while leveraging his actuarial background to manage risks.
He has been a driving force behind Future Forex’s market-leading investment product, Crypto Arbitrage, which, to date, has significantly outperformed the returns of traditional investments
in the market (including the JSE All Share index, the S&P 500, and an 8% annual interest account), allowing for thousands of South Africans to boost their investment portfolios as a result. To date, the company has delivered over R330 million in total client profits (with a return on investment of +42% annualised), to a rapidly growing South African client base, and as a result of their success the company was approved as one of the first CASPs (Crypto Asset Service Providers) in the country. Leveraging his extensive knowledge of financial markets, Harry has played a pivotal role in expanding the company’s portfolio to also offer a seamless, transparent and cost-effective international money transfer service for South African individuals and businesses moving money in and out of the country. To date, as a licensed FSP (Financial Services Provider) and Foreign Exchange Intermediary, Future Forex has processed over R30 billion in forex transfers since inception in 2020, R10 billion of which has been processed in 2024 alone. The company is also one of the most highly rated Fintechs in South Africa on Google.
Harry was also awarded as a winner in the Business category in Mail & Guardian’s 200 Young South Africans this year, was recently named a finalist for the ‘CEO of the Year Award’ at the Africa Career Summit & Awards 2024, and is also a finalist in this year’s Forty under 40 South Africa. These recognitions are testament to his level of expertise and accomplishments in the industry.
