Founder and CEO at RainFinSean Emery is the Co-founder and CEO of RainFin, a pioneer in debt and asset tokenisation company which issued the first South African-based asset of R100m in tokenised assets on xcap.network.
Sean developed the first legal framework to issue tokenised assets on chain in SA. Sean is also the Co-founder X-Cap, a platform protocol that enables the creation of tokens backed by Real-World-Assets. He is also the Chairman of Titan Investments 7, an early- stage Fintech Investor.
Sean is a seasoned fintech entrepreneur and private equity Investor with a deep focus on emerging technologies, banking and financial services disruption, and innovation. Since early 2011 and after a career in merchant banking and fund management, Sean has pioneered business in the Fintech industry.
In 2022 relaunching RainFin Africa’s leading Credit marketplace and first secondary market for private fractionalised and tokenized debt and other real world assets .
In 2022 Sean was the Head of Strategic partnerships at VALR.com the largest crypto exchange headquartered in Africa.
